Bradley & Riley PC

On Saturday, June 1, the City of Cedar Rapids presented five residents with the Five Seasons Citizenship Award during Resident Appreciation Day at the Downtown Farmers' Market. The City Council created this program in 2012 to show special appreciation for outstanding citizens who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help the community thrive.

The five individuals - including Bradley & Riley PC's Brad Hart - were recognized after meeting the criteria of demonstrating exceptional support for the community, exhibiting the responsibilities of strong citizenship, and developing projects or initiatives that benefit other Cedar Rapids residents.

Brad Hart, an outstanding citizen for his commitment to providing our next generation with the resources they need to succeed. Brad played an important role in turning the vision of a new library into a reality by securing over $500,000. He also worked tirelessly to provide young parents the support they needed to succeed through his work with the Young Parents Network. Brad has been recognized by his peers as someone to turn to when the job needs to get done. Brad's commitment to Cedar Rapids showed through the lives he touched and his positive championing of our city.

Other award winners were Terry Bilsland, Barry Boyer, Eric Engelmann and John Smith.

Nominations will be accepted for Five Seasons Citizenship Awards again in May 2014. If you know someone who dedicates their time and energy to make Cedar Rapids a great place for everyone to live, work and play, please submit their nomination for this award.
