Rachel Clay v. Credit Bureau Enterprises, Inc. 754 F.3d 535 (8th Cir. 2014). Counsel to employer in defense of a § 1981 action brought by former employee, alleging claims of race discrimination, hostile work environment, and constructive discharge. Obtained summary judgment for employer, which was affirmed on appeal.

Uhlenhopp v. The CBE Group, Inc., Case No. 4:11-cv-00105 (S.D. Iowa 2012). Obtained jury verdict in favor of employer in § 1981 action. Claims involved national origin discrimination and retaliation.

Kallail v. Alliant Energy Corporate Services, Inc., 2011 WL 1833347 (N.D. Iowa 2011), affirmed 691 F.3d 925 (8th Cir. 2012). Counsel for employer in action brought by employee alleging disability discrimination in violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). Obtained summary judgment in favor of employer, which was affirmed on appeal.

Ballalatak v. All Iowa Agriculture Assoc., 781 N.W. 2d 272 (Iowa 2010). Counsel for employer in action brought by former employee claiming tortious discharge against public policy. Obtained dismissal for failure to state a claim. The dismissal was affirmed by the Iowa Supreme Court.

Int’l Union, United Automobile, Aerospace & Agricultural Implement Workers of America v. Rousselot, Inc., 547 F. Supp. 2d 955 (N.D. Iowa 2008). Obtained summary judgment for employer on union demand for arbitration.

Dahl and MSD Sales, Inc. v. Welsh Machine Tool Co., Case No. LACV 055639 (Iowa District Court for Linn County). Obtained $342,663 verdict for plaintiffs after a 10-day jury trial primarily involving Wage Payment Collection Act claims; successfully defended against multiple counterclaims.

Anumaso v. NCS Pearson, Inc., Case No. LACV 064088 (Iowa District Court for Johnson County, 2008). Obtained defense verdict after three-day jury trial defending tort claims brought by former employee.

Welcher v. American Ordinance, LLC, 711 N.W. 2d 732 (Iowa 2006). Obtained judgment for employer with respect to a challenge to a drug test.

H&H FoodService v. Reinhart FoodService, Inc., Case No. LACV 050406 (Iowa District Court for Linn County). Obtained verdicts for the defendants against claims alleging fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and misappropriation of trade secrets; prevailed on counterclaims under Wage Payment Collection Act.

Powell v. Yellow Book USA, 445 F.3d 1074 (8th Cir. 2006). Obtained summary judgment for defendant in a discrimination/harassment case.

Vincent v. Four M Paper Corp., 589 N.W. 2d 55 (Iowa 1999). Obtained judgment for employer with respect to a claim of disability discrimination.
