Education and Experience:
Vernon P. Squires earned his bachelor’s degree from Williams College in 1986 and received his law degree from the University of Minnesota, with honors, in 1993. Before joining Bradley & Riley PC in 1995, Mr. Squires practiced with Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon in Chicago, Illinois. He also worked as a newspaper reporter and editor and as a consultant in marketing and public affairs.

Mr. Squires is licensed to practice in the Iowa and Illinois State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Mr. Squires is a member of the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, the Linn County Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. He currently is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association Labor and Employment Section Council. He also is a member of the ABA Sections on Labor and Employment, Litigation and Intellectual Property. He formerly was a member of the Dean Mason Ladd Inn of Court. Mr. Squires has completed the National Trial Advocacy Skills program presented by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

Of Mention:
In addition to professional memberships and activities, Mr. Squires is active in the Cedar Rapids community, serving on boards of Tanager Place, the YMCA and Leadership for Five Seasons. He is a former board member of the American Red Cross Grant Wood Chapter and Theatre Cedar Rapids. Mr. Squires is also a member of Daybreak Rotary and participates in numerous community fundraising activities. He is a 1999 graduate of the Leadership for Five Seasons Program.
