Education and Experience:
Paul D. Burns earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1989 and received his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, with high honors, in 1993. Mr. Burns served as Articles Editor of Volume 78 of the Iowa Law Review and graduated Order of the Coif. Before joining Bradley & Riley PC in 1997, Mr. Burns worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Harold D. Vietor, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Iowa.

Mr. Burns is licensed to practice in the Iowa State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Mr. Burns is a member of the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association and the Linn County Bar Association. He serves as Chair of the ISBA Federal Practice Committee and served as Chair of the e-Commerce Section Council of the ISBA in the years 2005-2006. He also is a member of the Construction Industry Forum and the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association. His professional publications and presentations include:

In addition to professional memberships and activities, Mr. Burns is active in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City communities. He is a member of the Iowa City Noon Rotary Club and a founding member of the Corridor Free Wireless Project. Mr. Burns serves on the Board of Directors of the Grant Wood Area Chapter of the Red Cross, the Englert Theatre, and the Corridor Free Wireless Project. In 2006 Mr. Burns was a recipient of the Corridor Business Journal's Forty Under 40 Award.
