Education and Experience:
Michael K. Denney earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Kansas in 1970 and his law degree from the University of Kansas, with honors, in 1973. He was a member of both the Board of Governors of the Kansas Law Review and the Moot Court Board. Upon graduation, Mr. Denney was elected to Order of the Coif. Before joining Bradley & Riley PC in 1981, Mr. Denney was a partner with the Cedar Rapids law firm of Lynch, Dallas, Smith and Harman.

Mr. Denney is licensed to practice in the Iowa and Kansas State Courts and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa.
Memberships and Positions:
Mr. Denney is a member of the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association and the Linn County Bar Association. He has served as a director and secretary of the Linn County Bar Association and as co-chair of that association's ethics committee. Mr. Denney has served as a member and as chairperson of the Iowa State Bar Association Bar Economics and Law Operations Committee, member of the Iowa State Bar Association Corporations and Business Law Committee, and member of the Iowa State Bar Associate Council of Corporation, Banking and Business Law Section.
Of Mention:
In addition to professional memberships and activities, Mr. Denney is active in the Cedar Rapids community. He currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for Kirkwood Community College Foundation (since 1997). Mr. Denney has previously served as: Director and Vice President of Liars Holographic Radio Theater (1996-2006); Member of the Board of Trustees (1999-2006), Vice President (2001 - 2003) and President (2003 - 2005) of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art; Trustee of the First Lutheran Church Foundation; Member of the Board of Directors and President of Elmcrest Country Club; Member of the Board of Directors of the Woods Quality Center; and Member, Secretary and Vice Chairman of First Lutheran Church.
