Education and Experience:
Byron G. Riley earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in 1952 and received his law degree from the University of Iowa, with honors, in 1957. While in law school he served on the Board of Editors of the Iowa Law Review. Prior to becoming a founding member of Bradley & Riley PC in 1981, Mr. Riley was a shareholder at the Cedar Rapids law firm of Lynch Dallas, P.C.

Memberships and Positions:
Mr. Riley is a member of the American Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, Linn County Bar Association, American Bar Foundation and is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is a past President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Iowa State Bar Association, a former member of the Board of Governors of the Iowa State Bar Association and has served as Chairman of several committees of the Iowa State Bar Association. He is a past President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Linn County Bar Association and a past President of the Linn County Bar Association. He is a member of the Senior Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association. Mr. Riley has been a lecturer and program participant for educational meetings sponsored by the University of Iowa, the Iowa State Bar Association, the Linn County Bar Association and the Cedar Rapids Estate Planning Council on the subjects of corporations and partnerships, estate planning with emphasis on revocable trusts, as well as general estate planning subjects and ethics.
Of Mention:
Mr. Riley served as the Chairman of the Greater Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and as President of the Priority One Economic Development Section of the Greater Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. He was a Trustee and Founding Member of St. Pius X Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a former Trustee of All Saints Church. He is a Trustee of the Cottage Grove Place Foundation. Mr. Riley served as a Director of United Fire and Casualty Company (1983-2007) and United Life Insurance Company (1973-2007).
